How to buy a private registration plate Simply use our search box facility (one opposite) to find yourself a number plate. You can enter almost anything, your full name, initials, words or an actual registration number. If using your name it's best to enter your full name, one in each box - you'll get better results. You may get more than one page of search results - use the arrows at the top or bottom of the search results to navigate from page to page. If you have selected a personalised number plate to buy, simply click on the buy button to the right of the number plate. This will take you to the order confirmation displaying the all inclusive total for your private plate. If you're happy to proceed, simply click the next button. Your contact details and the nominee name* are then requested. Simply fill these in, double check the details and click the next button. You will then be presented with payment options. You can purchase your new cherished number plate online via Paypal. This allows you to either pay by credit card or with a Paypal account (you have the opportunity to create one if you don't have one). You will be re-directed to the Paypal website and returned to Plate Master upon completion of payment. The other alternative is to pay by cheque. All our details are provided. So that we can modify your vehicle's documents, you will need to post us your MOT certificate (if applicable), V5 vehicle registration document and state the expiry date of the vehicle's tax disc. Alternatively, you can simply purchase your personalised registration on what's called a certificate of entitlement (V750) and post no documents to us. This gives you 12 months to assign the registration plate to a vehicle (ideal if you do not own a vehicle yet). (continued opposite......) Within a week we will advise you that you are free to put your new personalised plate onto you vehicle. All your documents will follow. And that's it!! *nominee name. This is the name stated on the recipient vehicle's V5 registration document. It's important that you specify this EXACTLY is it appears on this document.
