Then, we will shortly advise you as to when you may transfer your new cherished number plate to your vehicle. Following your cherished plate purchase, we will send you your Certificate of Entitlement (V750). All you have to do is return it to us in the supplied envelope with the following documents:- The Vehicle Registration document (the entire document will be required). Specify the expiry date of your vehicle's tax disc. The vehicle's MOT certificate if the vehicle is over 3 years old. Alternatively, you can just have your personalised registration plate supplied on a Certificate Of Entitlement (V750). This may be preferable if you want to purchase a number plate for a gift. You can then send the documents to your nearest DVLA offices or take them in and wait while they process them for you. Note:- You have 12 months from the day the certificate was issued to assign the registration number to a vehicle. This can be extended for a further 12 months for a standard DVLA fee.
